The Nordic Spring Collection

Central to Strathberry's brand DNA is our commitment to incorporating principles of sustainability across every aspect of the business. From sourcing materials with ethical and sustainable suppliers, to minimizing wastage through innovative design and production tactics, as well as utilizing recyclable packaging for the end consumer. We are intricately aware of the impact that the industry has on the environment and is actively working to improve processes and innovate through sustainable practices.

This commitment is the driving force behind the our continual experimentation with new materials outside of the leather category and is the key driver behind the launch of the Nordic Spring Collection - an eco-friendly range of handbags crafted from sustainably sourced fish skin instead of leather.

A by-product of the fishing industry, the material used is sourced from fisheries with sustainability accreditation and is produced in Iceland using only renewable energy from a Hydro-Electric power plant. The recycling of fish skin helps to minimize landfills and keeps resources in use for a longer period of time. The material does not leave the carbon footprint associated with raising cattle, nor does it use endangered species that could threaten biodiversity.

Strathberry first tested the use of fish skin in the brand’s early collections, and over time has worked to perfect the finish to reach a very delicate, luxurious hand, while upholding the brand’s high quality of craftsmanship.

The Strathberry Nordic Spring collection introduces the brand’s classic East/West Mini silhouette in three vibrant colours with gold hardware - Bottle Green, Marine and Raspberry. An effortlessly chic mini bag, it’s the perfect size to take you seamlessly from day to evening wear.
