Meet the Mosaic Nano, our must-have bag of the season

Introducing the Mosaic Nano, the latest interpretation of our cultural curiosity, inspired by the works of Scottish artist Eduardo Paolozzi.

A best-selling silhouette, the Mosaic Bag launched in its original form exactly one year ago. A true testament to the craft of form and function, this stylish silhouette seamlessly blended fashion with practicality. Designed to fit all of life’s little pieces, we watched as it quickly became a fan-favourite. 

Due to its overwhelming success, this beloved silhouette has now, for the very first time, been reimagined into a smaller and more compact nano size. Retaining the same iconic, clean and precise lines as its larger counterpart, the Mosaic Nano offers a contemporary take on everyday practicality.

Whilst our talented design team knew this nano handbag was a perfect addition to the Mosaic family, it was imperative that they got the sizing just right. Deceptively spacious, the Mosaic Nano offers the freedom to go hands-free when worn cross-body, so it only made sense that it fit all your daily essentials, including a phone. 

Therefore, our design team set about creating various sized prototypes from salpa - a thin and pliable, cork-like material, made from recycled leather - and testing these to determine the final proportions of the Mosaic Nano silhouette.

During this process, the team also took great care to ensure this smaller bag, made from the same, soft malleable leather as the rest of the Mosaic collection, was built to withstand everyday use. Therefore, all edges surrounding the top flap have been hand stitched and perfectly sealed with edge paint, to reinforce its structure. All in all, this thorough design process took roughly 4 months, before the final sample was put into production.   

Whilst the Mosaic collection boasts a range of go-anywhere bags, designed to fit an extra pair of shoes, an umbrella or even a laptop, the new Mosaic Nano is destined to take you from boardroom to bar, or really, anywhere you decide.
